For every student

Comprehensive music education, from the first song.

Our youngest students take engaging general music classes, and preschool seasonal programs let children build performance skills, enjoy fun music, and perform for their families.

Every student is involved in worship music through our vibrant chapel program, singing together as a student body and performing in groups. Learning to praise God with instruments and voices is a vital part of the educational experience.

Our highly trained faculty, excellent facilities, and music program inspire students to discover their talents and hone their skills, and our music students have gone on to major universities and music ministry because of their preparation at the Academy.

Music at every age.

Performance, competition, and worship grow with students from preschool through high school.

Preschool
Expression through song and rhythm builds motor skills and lots of fun. Rhythm instruments, movement, and dance introduce tempo and dynamics while children sing and play joyfully, and many students join the Little Mozarts program.
Elementary
Seasonal programs are the highlight of the elementary year, with several hundred students acting and singing in spectacular performances. General music classes build musicianship, and from 4th grade every student can join band and orchestra.
Middle School
Private instruction, choir, band and orchestra, handbells, and ensembles. Seasonal concerts and competitions bring out students’ best, and the annual NCCSA music clinic gives band students an inspiring experience with several hundred students from around the state.
High School
Band and orchestra, choir, handbell choir, and vocal and instrumental ensembles perform in special programs throughout the year. Band and choir students attend the NCCSA Music Clinic in Raleigh each year, and several have earned seats in the honors band.

Award-winning. WCA students have won numerous awards at state and national fine arts competitions. Each spring, upper elementary students compete in the NCCSA Fine Arts Competition in speech, art, vocal and instrumental solos and ensembles, band, and choir.
