Our program & policies

What families should know.

Summer Day Camp is a ministry of Grace Baptist Church, at 1401 North College Road. Trained personnel provide emergency care if needed.

Facilities

Our 85-acre campus has excellent equipment and facilities for a variety of recreational activities, including athletic fields, a well-equipped gymnasium, inviting playgrounds, computer labs, and a library. Children are encouraged to actively participate in a well-rounded program.

Activities

To form an appreciation of new experiences, all children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities: field trips, bowling, aerobic exercise, water activities, indoor and outdoor games, sports skills, skating, and visits to the water park.

Snacks & lunch

Lunch is provided every day by WCA. Snacks are provided by parents, and a variety of snacks and beverages are also available from the Summer Snack Cart.

Personal items

Children may bring their own special toys for personal play time. Personal items must be labeled with the child’s name, and the teacher should be made aware of the item.

Dress & grooming

Day camp clothing should be modest and appropriate for summer fun. Shoes must be worn at all times, and tennis shoes are recommended. No objectionable pictures or slogans may be worn on t-shirts.

  • Boys may wear pants or walking shorts and must wear shirts at all times. Earrings should not be worn to camp.
  • Girls may wear long shorts, capris, non-form-fitting pants, modest blouses, shirts, or t-shirts. No halters.
Discipline

With any group of children, control must be maintained for safety and program continuity. Appropriate measures are taken to ensure control and safety in the camp, and parental support is essential to achieve these goals.
